January 31, 2025: Jasper, AR 72641 Jasper Pirates (Jasper, AR) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Omaha Eagles (Omaha, AR), 78-36 in a league match.
With the victory, Jasper upgrades its record to 15-9 on the year. The Pirates host Deer (Deer, AR) to face the Antlers in a 1A Region 1 match on Monday, February 3. The Antlers enter the match with a record of 1-0.
The Eagles now sport a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mount Judea for a 1A Region 1 match on Tuesday, February 4. Omaha will face a Eagles squad coming off a 81-11 league loss to Kingston (Kingston, AR). The Eagles record now stands at 1-10.
