The Rhea County Golden Eagles basketball team scored 62 points and limited the visiting McMinn County Cherokees to 50 in the Golden Eagles league triumph on Friday.

The Golden Eagles now possess a 14-8 record. They play next when they travel to Sequoyah for a non-league game on Monday, February 3. Rhea County will confront a Chiefs team coming off a 41-36 league loss to Loudon (Loudon, TN). The Chiefs record now stands at 4-13.
