Iowa High School Basketball - Prairie City-Monroe triumphant over Nevada
January 31, 2025: Nevada, IA 50201 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs (Monroe, IA) and the host Nevada Cubs (Nevada, IA), observed Prairie City-Monroe's basketball team overwhelm Nevada by a score of 61-27.
The Mustangs (16-2) will now prepare for their challenge against South Hamilton (Jewell, IA). The Hawks come into the Heart of Iowa challenge with a 5-13 record. In their last challenge, South Hamilton was routed by West Marshall (State Center, IA), 59-29, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Cubs encounter the Perry Bluejays (Perry, IA) in a Heart of Iowa challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Nevada will attempt to improve on its 8-11 season record. The Bluejays come into the challenge with a 4-13 record after their 57-10 league loss to Prairie City-Monroe (Monroe, IA).
