January 31, 2025: New Berlin, WI 53146 Pius XI Catholic Popes (Milwaukee, WI) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host New Berlin West Vikings (New Berlin, WI), 58-41 in a league match.
With the victory, Pius XI Catholic advances its record to 13-4 on the year. The Popes host West Allis Central (West Allis, WI) to face the Bulldogs in a Woodland - West match on Tuesday, February 4. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 6-14. West Allis Central won 28-24 in their recent non-league match against Cristo Rey Jesuit (Minneapolis, MN)
The Vikings now own a 9-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host New Berlin Eisenhower for a Woodland - West match on Tuesday, February 4. New Berlin West will face a Lions squad coming off a 71-19 league win over West Allis Central (West Allis, WI). The Lions record now stands at 11-8.
