The Perrin-Whitt Pirates basketball team scored 54 points and limited the host Throckmorton Greyhounds to 42 in the Pirates league triumph on Friday.

The Pirates now possess a 15-14 record. They play next when they host Garner for a 1A Region III District 17 game on Tuesday, February 4. Perrin-Whitt will confront a Longhorns team coming off a 50-14 league loss to Newcastle (Newcastle, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 10-18.

With the loss, Throckmorton falls to 10-16 on the campaign. The Greyhounds travel to Bryson (Bryson, TX) to confront the Cowboys in a 1A Region III District 17 game on Tuesday, February 4. The Cowboys go into the game with a record of 11-14. Bryson lost 56-36 in their recent league game against Woodson (Woodson, TX)
