Texas High School Soccer - Chaparral nudges Lake Belton
January 31, 2025: Temple, TX 76502 Fans at Friday's league battle between the Chaparral Bobcats (Killeen, TX) and the host Lake Belton Broncos (Temple, TX), saw Chaparral's soccer squad hold off Lake Belton by a count of 3-2.
The Bobcats (4-6) will now prepare for their battle against University (Waco, TX). The Trojans enter the 5A Region 2 District 16 battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, University was edged by Waco (Waco, TX), 4-1, in a league battle.
Next up, the Broncos confront the Belton Tigers (Belton, TX) in a 5A Region 2 District 16 battle, on Friday, February 7. Lake Belton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 2-8 record after their 1-0 league win over Ellison (Killeen, TX).
