Lowndes Vikings (Valdosta, GA) supporters went home thrilled Saturday as they saw their basketball team thwart the host Valdosta Wildcats (Valdosta, GA), 73-56 in a league contest.

The Vikings (16-6) will now prepare for their contest against Camden County (Kingsland, GA). The Wildcats go into the AAAAAA Region 1 contest with a 16-6 record. In their last contest, Camden County was topped by Tift County (Tifton, GA), 63-43, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Camden County Wildcats (Kingsland, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 1 contest, on Friday, February 6. Valdosta will attempt to better on its 10-12 season record.
