Maine High School Basketball - Cony holds off Maranacook
January 4, 2022: Readfield, ME 04355 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Cony Rams (Augusta, ME) and the host Maranacook Black Bears (Readfield, ME), saw Cony's basketball squad hold off Maranacook by a tally of 66-63.
With the victory, Cony improves its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Rams host Camden Hills (Rockport, ME) to confront the Windjammers in a A North challenge on Thursday, January 6. The Windjammers come into the challenge with a record of 4-1. Camden Hills won 67-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Oceanside (Rockland, ME)
Next up, the Black Bears confront the Waterville Panthers (Waterville, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 6. Maranacook will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 0-8 record after their 50-47 league loss to Winslow (Winslow, ME).
