Alabama High School Basketball - Saks overwhelms Wellborn
January 4, 2022: Anniston, AL 36206 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Saks Wildcats (Anniston, AL) and the visiting Wellborn Panthers (Anniston, AL), saw Saks's basketball squad wallop Wellborn by a tally of 74-26.
With the victory, Saks improves its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Childersburg (Childersburg, AL) to confront the Tigers in a 3A Area 9 challenge on Friday, January 7. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 9-6.
Next up, the Panthers confront the Munford Lions (Munford, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 6. Wellborn will attempt to improve on its 0-6 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 55-39 non-league loss to Weaver (Weaver, AL).
