Georgia High School Basketball - Lowndes crushes Brooks County

January 4, 2022: Quitman, GA 31643

Lowndes Vikings (Valdosta, GA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Brooks County Trojans (Quitman, GA), 51-15 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lowndes upgrades its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Tift County (Tifton, GA) to play the Blue Devils in a AAAAAAA Region 1 bout on Friday, January 7. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 8-3. Tift County won 48-39 in their recent non-league bout against North Cobb (Kennesaw, GA)

Next up, the Trojans play the Atkinson County Rebels (Pearson, GA) in a A Public Region 2 bout, on Friday, January 7. Brooks County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Rebels come into the bout with a 0-11 record after their 58-26 non-league loss to Cook (Adel, GA).
