South Dakota High School Basketball - Philip knocked off by Sully Buttes
January 4, 2022: Onida, SD 57564 The Sully Buttes Chargers basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Philip Scotties to 41 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Chargers now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Highmore/Harrold for a B Region 2 contest on Friday, January 7. Sully Buttes will battle a Pirates team coming off a 55-22 non-league win over Stanley County (Fort Pierre, SD). The Pirates record now stands at 4-2.
The Scotties (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against New Underwood (New Underwood, SD). The Tigers enter the B Region 7 contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, New Underwood ran past Hot Springs (Hot Springs, SD), 18-12, in a non-league contest.
