North Carolina High School Basketball - Holmes trounces Southside
January 4, 2023: Chocowinity, NC 27817 The Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) basketball crushed the host Southside Seahawks (Chocowinity, NC), 82-38 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Aces (6-6) will now prepare for their test against Currituck County (Barco, NC). The Knights go into the 2A/3A Conference 15 test with a 5-5 record. In their last test, Currituck County was trounced by Manteo (Manteo, NC), 65-59, in a league test.
The Seahawks now own a 3-8 record. They play next when they host Croatan for a non-league test on Thursday, January 5. Southside will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 87-44 non-league win over Northside - Pinetown (Pinetown, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 8-3.
