Massachusetts High School Basketball - Hopkins Academy tops Smith Vo-Tech
January 4, 2023: Northampton, MA 01060 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Hopkins Academy Golden Hawks (Hadley, MA) and the host Smith Vo-Tech Vikings (Northampton, MA), saw Hopkins Academy's basketball squad knock off Smith Vo-Tech by a tally of 80-60.
With the victory, Hopkins Academy improves its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Golden Hawks host Drury (North Adams, MA) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 5. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a record of 5-1. Drury won 68-51 in their recent league challenge against Lenox Memorial (Lenox, MA)
Next up, the Vikings play the Hampshire Regional Raiders (Westhampton, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 6. Smith Vo-Tech will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 41-39 league loss to Ware (Ware, MA).
