George School Cougars (Newtown, PA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Friends Select (Philadelphia, PA), 71-8 in a league bout.

With the win, George School upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Cougars host Westtown (West Chester, PA) to play the in a Friends Schools bout on Friday, January 6. The go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Westtown won 77-39 in their recent non-league bout against Valor Christian (Alpharetta, GA)

Next up, the play the Barrack Hebrew Academy Cougars (Bryn Mawr, PA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 5. Friends Select will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 57-32 league win over Cristo Rey Philadelphia (Philadelphia, PA).
