The North Pitt Panthers basketball team scored 64 points and held the host SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars to 53 in the Panthers league triumph on Wednesday.

The Panthers now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ayden - Grifton for a 2A Conference 4 contest on Friday, January 6.

The Cougars (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Tarboro (Tarboro, NC). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Tarboro was defeated by Perquimans (Hertford, NC), 43-18, in a league contest.
