Arkansas High School Basketball - Dermott tops Junction City
January 4, 2024: Dermott, AR 71638 Dermott Rams (Dermott, AR) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Junction City Dragons (Junction City, AR), 67-48 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Dermott upgrades its record to 9-10 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Emerson (Emerson, AR) to play the Pirates in a 1A Region 8 game on Friday, January 5. The Pirates enter the game with a record of 9-6. Emerson won 72-67 in their recent non-league game against Harmony Grove (Camden, AR)
With the defeat, Junction City moves to 6-5 on the year. The Dragons travel to Parkers Chapel (El Dorado, AR) to face the Trojans in a 2A Region 8 game on Tuesday, January 9. The Trojans enter the game with a record of 5-7. Parkers Chapel won 62-56 in their recent non-league game against Columbia Christian (Magnolia, AR)
