January 4, 2024: Lake Leelanau, MI 49653 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the St. Mary Eagles (Lake Leelanau, MI) and the visiting Leland Comets (Leland, MI), saw St. Mary's basketball squad overcome Leland by a tally of 53-41.
With the victory, St. Mary improves its record to 3-7 on the campaign. The Eagles host Mesick (Mesick, MI) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 6. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 3-7. Mesick lost 55-29 in their recent league challenge against Marion (Marion, MI)
Next up, the Comets confront the Buckley Bears (Buckley, MI) in a Northwest challenge, on Friday, January 5. Leland will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 53-41 non-league win over Ogemaw Heights (West Branch, MI).
