Mercer Christian Academy Cavaliers (Princeton, WV) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Liberty Raiders (Glen Daniel, WV), 55-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mercer Christian Academy upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Cavaliers host Victory Baptist Academy (Beaver, WV) to play the Saints in a West Virginia Christian - AA bout on Monday, January 8. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 8-2.

Next up, the Raiders play the Oak Hill Red Devils (Oak Hill, WV) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Red Devils go into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 65-43 non-league loss to East Fairmont (Fairmont, WV).
