Louisiana High School Basketball - Mamou can't hold off Rayne
January 4, 2024: Rayne, LA 70578 The Rayne Wolves basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Mamou Demons to 51 in the Wolves non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Wolves now sport a 8-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alexandria for a non-league contest on Friday, January 5. Rayne will battle a Trojans team coming off a 36-34 non-league loss to New Iberia (New Iberia, LA). The Trojans record now stands at 13-5.
The Demons (4-14) will now prepare for their contest against Kinder (Kinder, LA). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league contest with a 7-14 record. In their last contest, Kinder nudged Pine Prairie (Pine Prairie, LA), 69-52, in a non-league contest.
