The Saucon Valley Panthers (Hellertown, PA) basketball nipped the visiting Northwestern Lehigh Tigers (New Tripoli, PA), 54-48 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Panthers (6-5) will now prepare for their test against Southern Lehigh (Center Valley, PA). The Spartans go into the non-league test with a 2-5 record.

The Tigers now own a 6-3 record. They play next when they host Pen Argyl for a non-league test on Friday, January 5. Northwestern Lehigh will encounter a Green Knights squad coming off a 43-24 league win over Palisades (Kintnersville, PA). The Green Knights record now stands at 1-10.
