Iowa High School Basketball - St. Mary's nips River Valley
January 4, 2024: Remsen, IA 51050 St. Mary's Hawks (Remsen, IA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting River Valley Wolverines (Correctionville, IA), 38-37 in a non-league bout.
With the win, St. Mary's upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Hawks travel to George-Little Rock (George, IA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 7-2. George-Little Rock won 82-49 in their recent non-league bout against Harris-Lake Park (Lake Park, IA)
Next up, the Wolverines play the Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto/Charter Oak-Ute (Mapleton, IA) in a Western Valley - North bout, on Friday, January 5. River Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The go into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 68-65 non-league loss to Boyer Valley (Dunlap, IA).
