Alabama High School Basketball - Spring Garden fells Sand Rock
January 4, 2024: Spring Garden, AL 36275 Spring Garden Panthers (Spring Garden, AL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Sand Rock Wildcats (Leesburg, AL), 45-30 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Spring Garden upgrades its record to 12-3 on the season. The Panthers host Jacksonville Christian Academy (Jacksonville, AL) to play the Thunder in a 1A Area 12 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Thunder go into the bout with a record of 6-11. Jacksonville Christian Academy lost 62-57 in their recent non-league bout against Wellborn (Anniston, AL)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Collinsville Panthers (Collinsville, AL) in a 2A Area 12 bout, on Friday, January 5. Sand Rock will attempt to upgrade on its 1-17 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 11-6 record after their 55-41 non-league win over Gaylesville (Gaylesville, AL).
