California High School Basketball - Weed overwhelms Oroville

Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Weed Cougars (Weed, CA) and the host Oroville Tigers (Oroville, CA), saw Weed's basketball squad wallop Oroville by a tally of 50-22.

With the victory, Weed improves its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Orland (Orland, CA) to play the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 5. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 7-11. Orland won 36-26 in their recent non-league challenge against Central Valley (Shasta Lake, CA)

Next up, the Tigers play the Las Plumas Thunderbirds (Oroville, CA) in a Butte View challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Oroville will attempt to improve on its 3-12 season record. The Thunderbirds come into the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 53-38 non-league win over Quincy (Quincy, CA).
