In Saturday's non-league test, the Cesar E. Chavez Lobos (Houston, TX) basketball squad got by the visiting Milby Buffs (Houston, TX), by a score of 52-50.

Next, the Lobos encounter the Westside Wolves (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region III District 18 test, on Monday, January 6. Cesar E. Chavez will attempt to improve on its 8-10 season record. The Wolves come into the test with a 14-2 record after their 71-45 non-league win over Madison (Houston, TX).
