Ohio High School Basketball - Lima Central Catholic nips Defiance
January 4, 2025: Lima, OH 45805 In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Lima Central Catholic Thunderbirds basketball team scored a close 68-61 win over the Defiance Bulldogs.
The Thunderbirds (6-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Columbus Grove (Columbus Grove, OH). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Columbus Grove edged Fort Jennings (Fort Jennings, OH), 71-52, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Bulldogs encounter the Van Wert Cougars (Van Wert, OH) in a Western Buckeye challenge, on Friday, January 10. Defiance will attempt to improve on its 8-1 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 66-54 non-league win over Lincolnview (Van Wert, OH).
