In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Highlands Bluebirds basketball team scored a close 61-60 triumph over the Ryle Raiders.

The Bluebirds (9-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bishop Brossart (Alexandria, KY). The Mustangs go into the non-league contest with a 6-4 record.

In their next game, the Raiders battle the Dixie Heights Colonels (Edgewood, KY) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 9. Ryle will attempt to better on its 4-7 season record.
