The St. Bede Bruins basketball team scored 63 points and limited the visiting Serena Huskers to 50 in the Bruins non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Bruins now have a 6-9 record. They play next when they travel to DePue for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. St. Bede will confront a Little Giants team coming off a 67-44 non-league loss to Henry-Senachwine (Henry, IL). The Little Giants record now stands at 2-13.

With the loss, Serena falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Huskers travel to Dwight (Dwight, IL) to confront the Trojans in a non-league game on Monday, January 6. The Trojans go into the game with a record of 9-6. Dwight lost 63-35 in their recent non-league game against Coal City (Coal City, IL)
