Minnesota High School Basketball - Zumbrota-Mazeppa sneaks past St. Agnes
January 4, 2025: Zumbrota, MN 55992 The Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars basketball team scored 52 points and limited the visiting St. Agnes Aggies to 46 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cougars now possess a 11-3 record. They play next when they host Kasson-Mantorville for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. Zumbrota-Mazeppa will play a Komets team coming off a 74-57 league loss to Austin (Austin, MN). The Komets record now stands at 3-6.
With the loss, St. Agnes falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Aggies host St. Croix Prep (Stillwater, MN) to play the Lions in a AA Section 4 game on Monday, January 6. The Lions go into the game with a record of 6-2. St. Croix Prep won 55-50 in their recent non-league game against Providence Academy (Plymouth, MN)
