The Alma Cardinals basketball squad (Alma, NE), lost 53-34 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Superior Wildcats (Superior, NE)

With the victory, Superior advances its record to 8-1 on the year. The Wildcats host Thayer Central (Hebron, NE) to meet the Titans in a C2 District 2 battle on Friday, January 10. The Titans enter the battle with a record of 5-2.

The Cardinals now own a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northern Valley for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 7. Alma will meet a Huskies squad coming off a 45-14 non-league win over Thunder Ridge (Kensington, KS). The Huskies record now stands at 2-5.
