Illinois High School Basketball - Jacksonville overwhelms Belleville West
January 4, 2025: Belleville, IL 62223 The Jacksonville Crimsons basketball team scored 54 points and limited the host Belleville West Maroons to 23 in the Crimsons non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Crimsons now have a 2-15 record. They play next when they travel to Rochester for a Central State Eight game on Tuesday, January 7. Jacksonville will confront a Rockets team coming off a 39-26 non-league win over Geneseo (Geneseo, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 4-12.
With the loss, Belleville West falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Maroons travel to Granite City (Granite City, IL) to confront the Warriors in a non-league game on Monday, January 6. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 6-9. Granite City lost 49-25 in their recent non-league game against Notre Dame (St. Louis, MO)
