January 4, 2025: Calico Rock, AR 72519 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Kingston Yellowjackets (Kingston, AR) and the host Calico Rock Pirates (Calico Rock, AR), observed Kingston's basketball team knock off Calico Rock by a score of 64-48.
The Yellowjackets (12-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Lead Hill (Lead Hill, AR). The Tigers come into the 1A Region 1 challenge with a 2-16 record. In their last challenge, Lead Hill dropped by Concord (Concord, AR), 52-30, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Pirates encounter the Midland Mustangs (Pleasant Plains, AR) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Calico Rock will attempt to improve on its 6-11 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 0-9 record after their 43-11 non-league loss to Hoxie (Hoxie, AR).
