The South Rebels basketball squad (Willoughby, OH), was crushed 65-43 in Saturday's league battle with the host Chardon Hilltoppers (Chardon, OH)

With the victory, Chardon advances its record to 6-4 on the year. The Hilltoppers travel to North (Eastlake, OH) to meet the Rangers in a Western Reserve battle on Wednesday, January 8. The Rangers enter the battle with a record of 4-6. North lost 46-41 in their recent league battle against Kenston (Chagrin Falls, OH)

The Rebels now own a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wickliffe for a non-league battle on Monday, January 6. South will meet a Blue Devils squad coming off a 51-28 league loss to Berkshire (Burton, OH). The Blue Devils record now stands at 6-4.
