Miramonte Matadors (Orinda, CA) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Cornerstone Christian Cougars (Antioch, CA), 48-40 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Miramonte upgrades its record to 10-3 on the year. The Matadors travel to Redwood (Larkspur, CA) to face the Giants in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 7. The Giants enter the match with a record of 7-7. Redwood lost 84-64 in their recent non-league match against Oakland Tech (Oakland, CA)

The Cougars now sport a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pittsburg for a non-league match on Monday, January 6. Cornerstone Christian will face a Pirates squad coming off a 38-24 non-league loss to Tokay (Lodi, CA). The Pirates record now stands at 6-7.
