Illinois High School Basketball - Dakota holds off Polo

January 4, 2025: Dakota, IL 61018

The Dakota Indians basketball team scored 37 points and limited the visiting Polo Marcos to 31 in the Indians non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Indians now have a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to Warren for a non-league game on Monday, January 6. Dakota will confront a Warriors team coming off a 39-33 non-league loss to Pearl City (Pearl City, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Polo falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Marcos travel to Ashton-Franklin Center (Ashton, IL) to confront the Raiders in a Northwest Upstate Illini - South game on Wednesday, January 8. The Raiders go into the game with a record of 7-12.
