Illinois High School Basketball - Polo holds off Hinckley-Big Rock
February 8, 2025: Polo, IL 61064 The Polo Marcos basketball team scored 67 points and limited the visiting Hinckley-Big Rock Royals to 64 in the Marcos non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Marcos now possess a 16-10 record. They play next when they host Eastland for a Northwest Upstate Illini - South game on Tuesday, February 11. Polo will confront a Cougars team coming off a 54-40 league win over Morrison (Morrison, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 15-15.
With the loss, Hinckley-Big Rock falls to 13-9 on the campaign. The Royals travel to Genoa-Kingston (Genoa, IL) to confront the Cogs in a non-league game on Wednesday, February 12. The Cogs go into the game with a record of 18-12. Genoa-Kingston won 53-30 in their recent non-league game against Woodstock (Woodstock, IL)
