California High School Basketball - Paramount holds off Long Beach Poly

January 4, 2025: Long Beach, CA 90813

In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Paramount Pirates basketball team scored a close 45-44 triumph over the Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits.

The Pirates (12-5) will now prepare for their contest against Lynwood (Lynwood, CA). The Knights go into the Gateway contest with a 6-9 record. In their last contest, Lynwood nipped Mayfair (Lakewood, CA), 60-15, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Jackrabbits confront the Woodrow Wilson Bruins (Long Beach, CA) in a Moore contest, on Wednesday, January 8. Long Beach Poly will attempt to better on its 10-4 season record. The Bruins go into the contest with a 6-6 record after their 35-24 non-league win over Edison (Huntington Beach, CA).
