Rhode Island High School Basketball - East Providence crushes Chariho
January 5, 2022: East Providence, RI 02914 East Providence Townies (East Providence, RI) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Chariho Chargers (Wood River Junction, RI), 54-22 in a league bout.
With the victory, East Providence upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Townies travel to Coventry (Coventry, RI) to play the Oakers in a Division 2 bout on Saturday, January 8. The Oakers come into the bout with a record of 7-1. Coventry won 59-43 in their recent league bout against Cumberland (Cumberland, RI)
Next up, the Chargers play the Moses Brown Quakers (Providence, RI) in a Division 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 11. Chariho will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Quakers come into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 41-9 league win over Central (Providence, RI).
