Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Chariho Chargers (Wood River Junction, RI), 55-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mt. Hope upgrades its record to 2-9 on the season. The Huskies host Coventry (Coventry, RI) to clash with the Oakers in a Division 2 bout on Wednesday, January 19. The Oakers go into the bout with a record of 8-2. Coventry won 61-33 in their recent league bout against Moses Brown (Providence, RI)

Next up, the Chargers clash with the Mt. Pleasant Kilties (Providence, RI) in a Division 2 bout, on Wednesday, January 19. Chariho will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Kilties go into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 43-34 league win over Central (Providence, RI).
