South Carolina High School Basketball - Saluda fells Emerald
January 5, 2023: Saluda, SC 29138 Saluda Tigers (Saluda, SC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Emerald Vikings (Greenwood, SC), 59-44 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Saluda upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Tigers host Abbeville (Abbeville, SC) to play the Panthers in a AA Region 2 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Abbeville won 67-45 in their recent non-league bout against McCormick (McCormick, SC)
Next up, the Vikings play the Woodruff Wolverines (Woodruff, SC) in a AAA Region 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Emerald will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 4-12 record after their 46-44 league loss to Chester (Chester, SC).
