Minnesota High School Basketball - Goodhue nips Zumbrota-Mazeppa
January 5, 2023: Zumbrota, MN 55992 Goodhue Wildcats (Goodhue, MN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars (Zumbrota, MN), 59-55 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Goodhue upgrades its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Kenyon-Wanamingo (Kenyon, MN) to play the Knights in a A Section 1 bout on Saturday, January 7. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 9-2. Kenyon-Wanamingo won 75-53 in their recent non-league bout against Blooming Prairie (Blooming Prairie, MN)
Next up, the Cougars play the Litchfield Dragons (Litchfield, MN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Zumbrota-Mazeppa will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Dragons come into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 55-52 non-league loss to Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted/Holy Trinity (Howard Lake, MN).
