January 5, 2023: Ottawa, KS 66067 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Ottawa Cyclones (Ottawa, KS) and the visiting Louisburg Wildcats (Louisburg, KS), saw Ottawa's basketball squad hold off Louisburg by a count of 51-44.
With the victory, Ottawa upgrades its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Cyclones host Tonganoxie (Tonganoxie, KS) to play the Chieftains in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 6. The Chieftains come into the challenge with a record of 0-5. Tonganoxie lost 62-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Baldwin (Baldwin, KS)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Spring Hill Broncos (Spring Hill, KS) in a Frontier challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Louisburg will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Broncos come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 67-34 non-league loss to Blue Valley Southwest (Overland Park, KS).
