Tri-County Trojans (Thornburg, IA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Twin Cedars Sabers (Bussey, IA), 41-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Tri-County upgrades its record to 2-8 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to B-G-M (Brooklyn, IA) to play the Bears in a South Iowa Cedar bout on Friday, January 6. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 3-6. B-G-M lost 51-50 in their recent league battle against English Valleys (North English, IA)

The Sabers (3-5) will now prepare for their battle against Diagonal (Diagonal, IA). The Maroons come into the Bluegrass battle with a 3-6 record.
