New Mexico High School Basketball - Capital knocked off by Albuquerque Academy
January 5, 2023: Albuquerque, NM 87109 The Albuquerque Academy Chargers basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Capital Jaguars to 35 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Chargers now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Los Alamos for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 10. Albuquerque Academy will battle a Hilltoppers team coming off a 65-57 non-league loss to Capital (Santa Fe, NM). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 0-4.
The Jaguars (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM). The Sundevils enter the non-league contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Espanola Valley was defeated by Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM), 84-38, in a non-league contest.
