The Athens Bulldogs topped the host Wellston Golden Rockets basketball team by a final score of 41-33 in Thursday's league game.

In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Warren Warriors (Vincent, OH) in a non-league game, on Saturday, January 7. Athens will attempt to move on its 9-3 season record. The Warriors enter the game with a 10-2 record after their 76-56 non-league win over Shenandoah (Sarahsville, OH).
