January 5, 2023: Elk River, MN 55330 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Spectrum Sting (Elk River, MN) and the visiting Heritage Christian Academy Eagles (Maple Grove, MN), saw Spectrum's basketball squad hold off Heritage Christian Academy by a tally of 55-51.
With the victory, Spectrum improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Sting host Maple Lake (Maple Lake, MN) to play the Irish in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Irish come into the challenge with a record of 2-4. Maple Lake lost 72-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (Belgrade, MN)
Next up, the Eagles play the Columbia Heights Hylanders (Columbia Heights, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 7. Heritage Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Hylanders come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 53-14 non-league win over Highland Park (St. Paul, MN).
