In Thursday's non-league match, the host North Central Thunderbirds basketball team scored a decisive 55-9 triumph over the South Vermillion Wildcats.

In their next game, the Thunderbirds meet the Sullivan Golden Arrows (Sullivan, IN) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 10. North Central will attempt to move on its 12-4 season record. The Golden Arrows enter the match with a 12-6 record after their 59-27 league win over South Putnam (Greencastle, IN).
