Tara Trojans (Baton Rouge, LA) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Capitol Lions (Baton Rouge, LA), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Trojans confront the Belaire Bengals (Baton Rouge, LA) in a Division III District 5 challenge, on Friday, January 6. Tara will attempt to move on its 7-0 season record. The Bengals enter the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 3-2 league loss to Parkview Baptist (Baton Rouge, LA).
