The Barberton Magics basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Tallmadge Blue Devils to 51 in the Magics league triumph on Friday.

The Magics now sport a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. Barberton will battle a Lions team coming off a 72-69 non-league loss to University School (Hunting Valley, OH). The Lions record now stands at 5-5.

The Blue Devils (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Highland (Medina, OH). The Hornets enter the Suburban - American contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Highland ran past Firestone (Akron, OH), 61-54, in a non-league contest.
