The Bishop Montgomery Knights basketball team (Torrance, CA), was nudged 62-56 in Friday's league battle with the host Serra Cavaliers (Gardena, CA)

The Cavaliers now possess a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Long Beach Poly for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 6. Serra will confront a Jackrabbits team coming off a 77-66 non-league win over Westlake (Westlake Village, CA). The Jackrabbits record now stands at 10-7.

The Knights (9-7) will now prepare for their battle against Crossroads (Santa Monica, CA). The Roadrunners come into the non-league battle with a 13-5 record. In their last battle, Crossroads edged Brentwood School (Los Angeles, CA), 63-53, in a league battle.
