The Cubs now sport a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Muleshoe for a 3A Region I District 3 battle on Tuesday, January 9. Brownfield will battle a Mules team coming off a 62-53 league loss to Dimmitt (Dimmitt, TX). The Mules record now stands at 3-9.
The Chieftans (12-10) will now prepare for their battle against Littlefield (Littlefield, TX). The Wildcats come into the 3A Region I District 3 battle with a 18-3 record. In their last battle, Littlefield trounced Lamesa (Lamesa, TX), 81-49, in a league battle.
